Emory Dance On Tour
Emory Dance On Tour (EDOT) offers an in-depth exploration of the process of creating, sustaining, and producing a touring
dance company. Students hone technical skills through class and rehearsal as they learn from choreographers. After creating
the mission and goals for the company, students present, direct, and perform their repertory throughout metro Atlanta. EDOT
recently performed modern, jazz, and African dance for pre-school through high school students, assisted living facilities,

Childrens Music Development Center of Emory (CMDCE)
This unique learning program nurtures the total development of children from birth to 12 years. Through movement, singing,
and creating with instruments and other art processes, the activities provide opportunities for child and caregiver to experience
and explore music. Programs include: Music for Babies, Family Music, and Growing In Music: Year 1 & 2 for those under
five and a half years of age; Musikgarten for those age five to seven; keyboard and recorder for those in second and
third grades; and a string program for those in second through ninth grades are offered. Call 404.727.5208 for more

Atlanta Youth Wind Symphony
The Atlanta Youth Wind Symphony is the premiere honor wind ensemble for high
school youth in the Atlanta area. Scott Stewart, director of instrumental
music at Emory University, serves as music director and conductor. The
ensemble is comprised of seventy-five select instrumentalists, grades
9 through 12, from a ten-county area. They perform four concerts of
advanced contemporary wind band repertoire annually, frequently featuring
high profile guest composers, conductors, and soloists. Auditions are
in August and rehearsals are on Mondays from 7:309:30pm. Information:
